This 1kw version is essentially the same as the 600 watt version with the exception that 2 tubes are used. The case size has been increased in width by one inch and in height by 1½ inches, making it 12" wide, by 5½ inches high and 9 inches deep in order to accommodate the wider 10a filament transformer and, of course, the two tubes which are stacked one above the other as shown in the photo at the bottom of this page. 

In comparison to the 600 watt version, note in the photo below, that the input and output connectors are moved near the edge of the back panel, and the relay (RL-1) is placed above the filament transformer, along with the 50k 10w stand-by bias resistor and the (Z-1) transmit bias diode which is orientated at 90° to the stand-by resistor. The 600 watt version is sitting atop a Kenwood 680s to the left. 

The photo below shows the original mock-up before the panel meter hole was cut and paint was applied. The final version is similar in appearance to the smaller 600 watt amplifier on the left (shown in detail in the previous page).
